Why do we let fear stop us achieving our dreams. I don't know one day somebody asked me that. The only thing I could think of was we don't have enough faith in ourselves.
But the funny thing about fear is that we give it power over us when we are in an crisis or making a big decision. Sometimes I have to tell myself that God is in control and fear is not option for me. So stay bless brother and sister and always roll with faith.
Hi DL, You're absolutely right. I think we fear when we aren't trusting in God, the ALMIGHTY. We are limited as people, but God is GOD. Far too often we forget the power of God and who He is.
ReplyDeleteIn Exodus, God called Moses to do something he was fearful to do. God called him to go to the Pharaoh and lead God's people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. Fearful, Moses asked God, "If I go to the Israelites and say to them: The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me 'What is His name?' what should I tell them?"
God replied to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM."
(Exodus 3:13-14)
Fear whom? Fear what?
Psalm 27:1-4
"The Lord is my light and salvation-- whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life-- of whom should I be afraid? When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell. Though an army deploys against me, my heart is not afraid; though a war breaks out against me, still I am confident. I have asked one thing of the Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking Him in His temple."
